Home on the range

View from the tent. Sorry, I don't have a photo of the tent set-up. I think that must be on Nico's camera. Anyway, a truly breathtaking view, fully equipped with brightly rising sun to greet the day and a moon that climbs between mountain outcrops every evening.

Scenes as we traverse from village to campsite. Get a load of this house above. A real beaut.

Stinky goat cheese (man) with our daily bread from the bakery.

The campsite and my snazzy rental below. Oooo, aaahh.

Fields of drying sunflowers were all over the region, as well.

Above, scenes from nearby park, abandoned palace and all. Below, snaps from the local brewery, Markus (pronouced Mar-koos) same village. They also sell a lovely lavender syrup to serve with chilled water. Yum. One Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of enjoying a really great local jazz trio. Gee, our little holiday village is looking better all the time, isn't it?

Delicious luncheon and artistic interpretation of Markus Biere.

  2. I love the view from the tent! What a great photo! You've certainly captured some of my favorite things about the french countryside-- beautiful scenery, simple food, quaint villages.
