Mr. Handyman, Nico had to hang the paintings for me.

Waterlilies in the Spritual section.
I’ve decided to begin where I left off though it will be already one week ago today. There were too many spectacular events to just skip over them because of some silly power outage (which ended Tuesday night, btw). Eventually, the blog will catch up to some more current future moment of now.
Before I back up, a post-storm recap
As I updated you in my last post, Southern Illinois region had a storm with terrific winds, what weather service is calling an inland hurricane (the link shows more photos). Those of you familiar with what hurricane winds can do and how far they may reach also know the destruction of which they are capable. My family was extremely fortunate to escape heavy damage but many are still experiencing power outage and worse. But the silver lining behind storms are the great unifying effect and a sense of togetherness they can create which is definitely witnessed here. The last I heard, there was one actual storm fatality.

Therapy began at 8:30 – I wanted to make the most of my last day before my holiday.
In fitness, I had a final weigh-in and, in four weeks, had dropped one percentage point of body fat, .5 kilo of weight. I was happy to see this as nothing had changed for many weeks. I’m sure it is the increased cardio that did it. Now, just to maintain this over my vacation and before I go to the beach (wooty woo).
Titia was kind enough to be videoed performing the stretching exercises on me for the silent camera. I now have a 40-minute recording forever. This will be useful for my mom or dad when asked to give me a stretch in the coming weeks.

I had my final afspraak for duurbelasting today. Sitting with Tom, we talked about the duurbelasting sessions and what I think I need at work based on what I learned. It was a productive hour.
We did some off-roading with the sports bikes today. It was pretty hard on my B-hind and sometimes difficult to maneuver. Though I don’t intend to do it often, Nick just wanted to show me that it was possible.
After therapy, I had the taxi drop me off at the bibliotheek, or library, to hang five of my paintings. The last time they were publicly exhibited was while I was still in Savannah 15 years ago so it's kinda fun to do it again.
House and Girl.

Train above English books.
On the way home from hanging paintings, we dropped by Johnie’s for a last friets meal. Then we walked the boys. After a bit of resting, I got to final packing and prep for the trip. I was well ready for bed by the time it came. We had a big couple of days ahead and I needed the prep rest.
Tomorrow…

The paintings look great in the library I certainly hope they're on loan and not on permanent display. I would miss them. Seeing the paintings hung in your apt in Eindhoven was one of my favorite pieces of the trip-- Rhonda's home is where the paintings of hers that I love are--- something to that effect anyway.
ReplyDeleteI hope your trip is going well! Smooches!
