Everything seems to be coming together at once. Monday, I go by Livit to, I hope, try on a new brace. Maybe even take it home. Wednesday, I will be getting a visit from Welzorg who will be delivering my ligfiets (horizontal bike).
As you can see from the photos, the balcony is thriving. We picked five peppers and roasted them last night over the fire pit. I dug out the old lettuce which was at an end and moved the ruccola in its place. I have more and bigger strawberries than I've had all season.
As soon as I have them, I'll share photos from Nico's trip. He had a wonderful time, as expected.
Yesterday afternoon, went by the movie theater and watched the latest Harry Potter movie. We'd put that off long enough. However, I think we must have missed one movie last year. We must have been distracted by something.
We had a lovely time during evening doggie walking this evening. We took the boys for a long walk and went by a new friet spot along the way. Then sat by a canal and enjoyed our little picnic. What a nice evening.

Therapy ends officially on August 24, just three days and a year after this strange gift from God first arrived one morning. A friend recently suggested that I create my own special name for the stroke rather than call it by its medical term or, what many people term, "my accident." It was no accident. I think this is a great idea.
Two weeks more of Blixembosch, then one week off before two weeks of vacation in September. In every moment is an opportunity to awaken. Now, on the beach, at work, washing dishes. Strokes, aneurysms, heart attacks, near death experiences, none are necessary to awaken us to enjoying to the fullest this gift of consciousness. God deserves nothing less than our full attention.
Your bounty is amazing!!! In my head, I'm that type of gardener. In reality, my plants are always barely alive, if they're living at all. I'm glad Nico's back home safely! I'm looking forward to seeing you in a few short weeks!
ReplyDeleteBob. That would be a good name for your stroke. :) A flash of brilliance? The day God poked his finger into my brain? Whatever you come up with, I'm sure it will be great!
