Well, my parasol is up and working like a charm, thanks to my man, Nico. I plan to love it. And today, just as yesterday, it's really needed. I've had a full day of therapy, heavy on the physical.
I got there at 10, after my usual Nordic walk, to begin fitness. I've been trying to get back to the level I was at before my holiday but it's been tough. Today, I at least hit the mark with the rowing machine at 20 minutes. Getting past 16 minutes was the hardest. After that, it was smooth as glass.
In fysio today, the substitute of the week, Michel, put me on the trampoline (which you know I love) and worked on my balance (standing on one foot then the other). While resting, I told him I'd like to use my old softball and glove to practice improving my balance and shoulder strength. He agreed it would also help improve coordination. So we threw a ball around - I stunk but I believe with practice, I can throw not like a girl again.
Had a long walk outside in loopgroep and sweated it up. I was dripping. Did the same with the ligfiets (cycle). It was a fun day, really hard work and totally worth it.
Thanks for keeping in touch.
You've been so busy!! I think it's really cool that you're able to grow your own food at this point. I aspire to be you one day-- of course it helps to have the gardener extraordinaire at your beck and call-- people with black thumbs such as myself really can't be trusted alone with innocent plant life. ;)
