Had a good Monday. We had some windy and thunderous short rains this afternoon and it took us down into the 60s, too. At least I don't have to worry then about Hazel jumping in the canal to cool off.
Swimming pool was closed for aquajogging this morning so I put in an extra half hour fitness instead. Made great numbers on the rowing machine: jumped from 33 to 45 strokes/minute (a huge jump, I hope you know). The reason for the jump was because I finally figured out the best way to use the machine.
Watered the plants on the balcony when I got home at 2p.m. though some of the plants got watering on their own.
Will try a new orthesis Tuesday which uses electrostimulation while walking. Hoping for some good results. Wednesday, I meet with the company doctor again. Nico takes the dogs to the vet tomorrow. He tried to make the appointment at a time when I could go but it was the only day and time they had available. So many people are getting ready to go on vacation I guess it's a busy season.
I cut up a lot of veggies so I could make salads easier. I also sauted some eggplant for a cold eggplant salad. I think i have too many vegetables! Picked a few more beans today.
Thanks for all your comments of late. And in response to driving with my left foot: it's simply a safety issue. The pedals of a normal automatic car are made for right foot driving. It makes sense in the Netherlands that they would require it be switched. I am still a bit skeptical as to whether it would be the same for me in the U.S. Overall, I'm not that concerned, really. It'll just be good to be able to keep a license, no matter which foot.
Rhonda, I haven't sent you a post in a long, long time. It's not that I haven't been following your progress, just really busy here especially after the windstorm. Glad to see you are doing well and your parasol for your living room is great. Keep up the good work and I'll try to post more often. Love ya. Sharon B.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what can happen when we actually use equipment correctly, eh? ;) FYI-- tell Nico that if we can find a wireless network at the wedding site, we'll try to broadcast the ceremony via OOVOO. It's similar to Skype, but you can have multiple people calling in at one time.
