Pictures and words

Another photo op
Of course, photos from our outing on Queen's Day. Notice the huge orange hat with catterwompy lions on top. We got lots of fans from this hat (and a lot of people wanting to trade up). I bought this had last year when it was a lot colder. Thursday was summer-like and I got a start on a healthy tan by getting a little sunburn.

Below, me in the lion's hat. Some young people busk on the big day. This young man also played last year Nico said with Pringle cans. He was such a serious fellow. Then comes the corn-on-the-cob dealer. Not as good as home but worth a try.

My lettuce grows like crazy. Does it look ready to pick yet? The bean sprouts do look happy don't they? And finally, the carrier for my Nordic sticks (or a case for carrying architectural drawings).

Sat and Sun
It was a nice quiet weekend. I slept in Saturday morning as I had nowhere to be until 11:30. I had playtime with my music gals, Ankie and Aggie. I'm getting more relaxed each time as we all get to know each other. Our singing sometimes even gives me goosebumps.

Sunday, I converted some music files onto my computer to share with the gals. These are mostly bluegrass tunes and musicians I want them to hear. While doing this, I found that some previously converted music files were much to large and gobbling up space on my computer. So I spent more time, even today, reconverting music. It will save me 10 gigabytes (and that's always good).

I also worked a little bit on packing and talked to my folks, as usual. Nico got back in time for friets as promised and a good time was had by all as we watched the final X-men movie.

Monday therapy
I only have two days of therapy this week so I decided to get in earlier today to make the most of my limited time. First it was fitness for almost two hours then on to aquajogging again. There was just enough of a break for a mandarin and some breakfast cookies. Afterwards, I had a somewhat pointless meeting with Ninke. I was home by 1 o'clock.

  1. Groovy hat!! Sounds like Queen's Day was a lot of fun. I'm so happy you're getting back into your music. Be prepared-- I have a couple of things in mind for you re: our wedding. :) I still need a new copy of that CD you and Sonny made since mine decided not to work anymore. :( I hope Nico properly tends your garden while you'll be away-- we don't want those veggies going to waste!

  3. Very cool pix - looks like a great day was had by all :)

Such a happy little garden - awesome to have fresh veg just out your door. And no pesky rabbits to eat it before you do (unless they invest in climbing gear… be on the look out!)

I would love to hear some Rhonda music sometime soon.

I hate pointless meetings :P next time just get up and say "MMMMkay… buh-bye now!" and then leave ;)

    Love ya,
    S
