Maandag

I did not let the fact that I had only one appointment limit my therapy today. I'm the kinda gal that feels obligated to make the most out of a 42euro taxi ride.

My one appointment was at 1:45. I got in around 11:30, as it turned out the perfect time to run into Paul (activity room guy) and handed over my friendship quilt to him. I wanted to show off the talents of my friends, my mentors, my pupils and basically spread the news that quilts were art, too. It was all ooohs and aahhs, of course. It will stay in his custody 'til Thursday so all that want to can have a gander.

Then I was off to the fitness room again to keep pushing on. It's been almost 16 weeks that I started fitness and I look forward to looking back on my progress in a couple more weeks. Before that happens, Rabin has promised to put a cardio program together for me. I ran my last cardio test today which was around the same rate as before, around 160.

My appointment with porcelain
For ergotherapy, I practiced getting in and out of a bathtub. Blixembosch has a demo bathroom so access to practicing was a cinch though the maneuver it was a bit tricky. But I managed well enough.

Planning ahead
Friday, I plan to go into the office to visit. This will be my first time there since I was wheeled out on a gurney in August. Like being tested for my driving skills, I put this off until I just couldn't anymore. And there's a part of me that knows the first time will be the hardest time. After that, it will be more easy going. I'm sure there will be lunch involved.

End of the day
Since Hazel stayed with his buddy Casper today, Nico was nice enough to walk Hazel home for me. It had been a bit drizzly and I was perty tuckered out. What a sweetheart, right?

Now, I sit here on my red-orange couch finishing up my blog, writing to you, who care enough about me to check in often and send your love out into the universe. Thank you.

  2. OH! Forgot to say, very cool that you took in the quilt to show Paul. I trust him and the other folks there too - they know how important that is to you. Glad you were able to share it with them! And thanks for posting as often as you do - I check everyday to see if you have written and I love to see when there is a new post :)
