Finally, photos!

First things first, photos of the apartment, painted and ready for company. You'll see my green livingroom, manderijn kitchen, kiss red and skyblue hallway which lead toward a sunflower yellow bedroom.

Secondly, Carnival parade and party goers. We had a great time and because the parade wound around the city like a snake, we were able to watch the parade twice. From one street to the next, we found my sausage in the form of bratwurst and, later, Vietnamese loempias. Mmm. It was the best Carnival parade I have yet to attend not because the music was better (unfortunately) but because of the milder temperature.

And finally, I've thrown in another photo which Nico snapped on the last day of the girls' visit. Plus a photo of a skeleton that he said the girls would appreciate. Shiela? Steph? Hope you appreciate the bones!

  1. OOOOOOOh those are the bones we did not get to go see at the Catherdral right?
Love the apartment pix :) Your place is so cozy and cheerful!
Oh Rhonda you just have to embrace the oompa music. If you drink enough beer it is quite festive ;) I have grown to love it over the years… Austrians love that sort of thing. We'll have to come for it next year and bring Todd along too - opala!
Cna anyone dress up or just "krewe" members? Cause you KNOW I'd be down for some dressin' up time! LOL!
    Love to all!

  2. Thanks for sharing the Carnival pix! It looks like so much fun. I'm sorry we missed it, but I'm glad to see it after hearing so much about it. Loved the bones picture-- got a creepy little thrill just looking at it! :)
